Carter Keane resides in and is inspired by the frequently odd and often horrifying state of Ohio. Keane writes books where the monster and the monstrous, in the end, are not the same. Morsel is their debut.
 
Keane’s student loan debt hails from an overly expensive liberal arts college on a hill where they acquired a Bachelor’s of Creative Writing and Environmental Studies. They were radicalized by the one-two-punch of Literary Theory followed closely by a course on Sustainable Agriculture.
After college, Keane was a fast-fashion copywriter, donut glazer, apprentice commercial appraiser, pizza delivery driver, and an overworked employee at a nonprofit in quick succession.
